ica-pnabrowse

This package implements the functionality to add Citrix published applications and XenApps for the desktop and start menu.
It requires the ica-client-11 package. This is normally part of the Citrix Receiverexternal link" for Linux.

Configuration

For this example we use a Citrix Cloud demo account. http://citrixcloud.net/external link

1. Create a new XenApp / Neighborhood application

Choose a name and click next.

Enter your server adress: (Here we use the one provided by citrix cloud)
http://demo.citrixcloud.net/Citrix/PNAgent/config.xml

Also enter your domainname:
citrixcloud

2. Assign the application to a user

Now you can assign the newly-created application to a user. Please check this wiki page for a detailed description.

3. Login and Connect to Citrix

After your user logged in, you should be promted with the citrix password dialog:

Enter your Citrix username and password to continue.

After you enter the correct login combination you should now be able to see the published applications on the desktop.

Now you can start using the applications by "double clicking" on them.

Troubleshooting

Error dialog during connect - "This terminal does not support the selected colormode"

You might see the following error messsage while connecting: (Which you can skip with "ok")
Dieses Terminal unterstützt den gewählten Farbmodus nicht. - GERMAN
This terminal does not support the selected colormode. - ENGLISH

To resolve this error permanently you need to raise the color depth from 16bit to 24bit by creating a new hardware device for your thinclient as decribed in the configuration.
